Objectives

Upon successful completion, the participant will be able to:
  • Understand the XML tree structure.
  • State the XML Processing model.
  • Describe how XSL is implemented with XML.
  • Reference XSL from an XML document.
  • Code the <xsl:apply-templates>, <xsl:value-of> and <xsl:for-each> elements.
  • Code the basic select and match patterns for the major XSL elements.
  • Sort and copy XML output with XSL.
  • Use the conditional elements of <xsl:if> and <xsl:choose>.
  • Discuss the future of XSL.
