  • Discuss the history of XML and how it relates to SGML and HTML
  • State the Design considerations for XML
  • Create a Document Type Definition or DTD for an XML document
  • Use a DTD to validate an XML document
  • Create a Schema using the following:

·         Element Declarations

·         Type Definitions

·         Simple Types and Complex Types

·         Grouping Types

·         Extentions and Restrictions

·         Annotations

·         Associating a XML Schema with an XML document

·        Use a Schemea to validate an XML document
