Objectives |
Upon successful completion, the participant will: · Be introduced to the basic IDMS constructs of record type, set type, area, page, schema, and subschema.· Be able to interpret an IDMS Data Structure Diagram.· Be introduced to and demonstrate the IDMS concept of Currency.· Demonstrate the usage of the following DML commands to access and modify data on an IDMS database within a Batch environment: BIND, READY, FINISH, FIND, GET, OBTAIN, MODIFY, ERASE, CONNECT, DISCONNECT and ACCEPT.· Recognize the proper usage of IDMS record locking in conjunction with the IDMS DML commands. |
