Prior programming experience. Workshop labs and examples are presented in COBOL2. |

Objectives |
Upon successful completion, the participant will be able to: Code/compile and test CICS programs that utilize the following CICS features. Basic Mapping Support Terminal Control Commands File Control Commands Temporary Storage Commands Transient Data Commands Interval Control Commands Storage Control Commands System Recovery Commands Create CICS Maps using one or more of the following IBM tools: Basic Mapping Support Screen Design Facility II Test CICS programs using one or more of the following debuggers: Execution Diagnostic Facility Xpediter Code programs to utilized CICS resources effectively. Describe the interface between CICS programs and DB2 databases.
Maintain existing CICS application programs. |
